We all know what unfortunate calamity has befallen Japan and its people. Other countries are also threatened with the Tsunami. The casualties are devastating. The numbers still increasing. It's really heartbreaking just skimming through the news. ><
I know there are a lot of people who wants to help, but don't know how, or don't have much to offer. I am in the same predicament, but with all these things happening around, I really can't be at peace at all. My prayers are always theirs, and in itself is also a powerful force, but somehow I really want to help with something tangible. We all do.
There are a lot of talented and great artists here, and I would just like to know if anyone would be willing to partake in a fund-raising project.
So yeah, bidding it would be, but I was thinking it would be good to have at least the top 3 bidders get the artworks, instead of just one? We do want to get as much donation as we can. We should agree on a beneficiary organization too.
This is just at the top of my head, any suggestions or questions are welcome. Actually I hope that this thread get raped with them. xD
For now I need co-managers to help me advance and manage this thing. I'm incredibly busy actually. *___* I already have some people in mind (you three know who you are lol), but any help would be appreciated.
And of course, the arts for prizes! ANY kind of art you're willing to offer is WELCOME. Traditional/Digital/Photography/Literary/Crafts... Really. ANYTHING. <3
Also it would be really nice to spread the idea around to other artists who would be interested too. ^^
There will probably be a more formal dAGroup created once everything/most of it is laid out. Just looking to have this kick started asap. = D

They donate through the website of the beneficiary, in honor of.... let's say, Nheira. Then the person gives us the screenshot of the 'receipt' the website gives out when the donation is received, so we could know if s/he paid the winning bid amount, or at all. Then we honor the prizes.
I want to skip my classes to focus on this but we have an exam. damn it. I'll get back to you guys as soon as I get back home.
But the idea is basically like commissioning a whole bunch of artists at one stop, since the top bidders get to have artworks done by different artists, and he only has to put out cash once. (he could ask to draw his own OC, a fanart, whatever he likes :>) All the proceeds would go to the agreed beneficiary.
But really really, I have to go now. ...Screw this assignment. Just gonna pass this late.
P.S. Unfortunately I can't edit the first post. D; Anyhow, there's also a link I've posted on Jinny's comment. It has other organizations looking for donations too.
I don't have any money myself, but I'll try and talk my family into contributing. I suggest we add the link to the main post as an alternate way of helping.
